McGuireWoods sponsored the 2022 Virginia Bench-Bar Dinner, held Oct. 13 at the University of Mary Washington’s Jepson Alumni Executive Center in Fredericksburg.
The annual event honors Virginia’s newly elected women and minority judges and gives attorneys an opportunity to meet the judges in a collegial atmosphere and recognize the judges’ accomplishments. Lawyers from across the state attended, enjoying cocktails and dinner and listening to keynote speaker Judge John Minh Tran of the Fairfax Circuit Court.
Richmond associate Alicia Penn (Business & Securities Litigation) co-chaired the event, hosted by the Virginia State Bar Young Lawyers Conference. In addition to Alicia, McGuireWoods lawyers who attended the dinner included Richmond associates Jah Akande and Evan Tucker (both Government Investigations & White Collar Litigation), Juliet Clark and John Woolard (both Business & Securities Litigation), and Ben Shute (Regulatory & Compliance); Tysons associates Kang He (Complex Commercial Litigation) and Louise Zwicker (Business & Securities Litigation); and Washington, D.C., partner Farnaz Thompson (Labor & Employment) and associate Cris Prendingue (Business & Securities Litigation).
