McGuireWoods counsel Emily Wagner, chair of the Allegheny County Bar Association’s LGBT Rights Committee, moderated a June 28 panel discussion at McGuireWoods’ Pittsburgh office to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots.
During the event, panelists detailed the history and impact of the uprisings, which served as a watershed moment in the gay rights movement in the United States and around the world. The panel also discussed the history of the LGBT community in Pittsburgh, and detailed the continuing social and legal challenges facing the community.
The Allegheny County Bar Association’s LGBT Rights Committee and McGuireWoods co-hosted the event.
