McGuireWoods and Panasonic partnered with Volunteer Lawyers for Justice to provide pro bono legal assistance to 25 clients at a Veterans Legal Wellness Clinic at East Orange Veterans Hospital in New Jersey.
On Oct. 17, pro bono volunteers assisted with a number of matters covering housing, healthcare, guardianship, driver’s license restoration, criminal record expungement disability benefits and preparation of wills, among other.
McGuireWoods lawyer volunteers included Charlottesville partner Jonathan Blank; Washington, D.C., partner and McGuireWoods Veteran Lawyers Network chair John Thompson; and New York associates Richard Tisdale and Andre Keels.
The semi-annual clinic was the latest in an ongoing pro bono partnership between McGuireWoods and Panasonic that dates back to 2017.
