McGuireWoods sponsored and participated in the Second Annual Women, Diversity & Change Summit, held June 11 in San Francisco. The daylong event focused on steps lawyers can take to foster diversity and inclusion in the legal profession and provided helpful insight on effective self-advocacy, mentorship and sponsorship.
Carolee Hoover, a partner in the San Francisco office, spoke on a panel titled “Increasing Diversity at Law Firms: The Role We All Play.” The conference provided an excellent networking opportunity and was well attended by McGuireWoods attorneys including Sabrina Beldner, head of the firm’s LGBT Lawyer Network, Ali Baiardo, Sylvia Kim and Neelam Takhar.
