Exelon and McGuireWoods Co-Host LCLD Fellows Event

June 14, 2019

On May 21, Exelon and McGuireWoods took the firm’s Leadership Council on Legal Diversity fellows to a Baltimore Orioles baseball game, with Exelon reserving the suite at Orioles Park at Camden Yards, and McGuireWoods arranging food and beverages. Before the game, Exelon gave the fellows a tour of the Conowingo Hydroelectric Plant and Peach Bottom Nuclear Generating Station, both owned by Exelon. Then they headed to the ballpark.

McGuireWoods lawyers who attended included Baltimore office managing partner Cecil Martin; Diversity & Inclusion Committee Chair Ava Lias-Booker; Baltimore partners, Alan Cason, Jennifer Stearman, Brian Kelly and Heather Arbogast; and New York partner Mirlande Telfort, who is also an LCLD fellow.

Founded in 2009, LCLD has more than 300 members who serve as general counsel of major corporations or managing partners of the nation’s leading law firms. United by a spirit of activism and personal commitment, LCLD members challenge the legal profession to prepare future generations of diverse talent for the highest positions of leadership. McGuireWoods has been a member and active participant in LCLD since the organization’s inception.
